Investigation launched after Goodwood helicopter crash - Portsmouth News

GOODWOOD has confirmed a helicopter that crashed at its aerodrome this afternoon (February 12) was on a training exercise.
It is believed the Robinson R22 helicopter was being flown by a student at the time of the accident just after 3pm.
Goodwood Aviation released a statement saying: “The aircraft was carrying two people when it came to rest on its side during a training exercise.”
Emergency services rushed to the scene.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “We were contacted shortly before 3.20pm with a report that a helicopter had crashed at Goodwood Airfield.”
