A safe resizer with very few bells and no whistles
Here's a modern version of the old Image Resizer:

It's about as simple as they get, but doesn't tell you the finished size, unfortunately. However as it's accessed by a right click on your chosen file, and creates the new version in the same directory, it's easy enough to do a "Properties" on the new one. If you want to do lots in one go, I use "FS Viewer":
