I'd respectfully disagree. You're right, everyone plays the game, getting whatever attention they can, but I can't see any of the other OEMs (well, maybe just the one, if she wanted some attention...
) talking up such a scattergun survey, with
hundreds of unrelated products ("Best Mattress," "Best High-Tech Multi-Functional Electric Shaver," "Best Coffee Experience Star Performer") selected by someone who clearly spent
far too long on Alibaba one Sunday afternoon.
Anyway, the only reason I mentioned it was that it added to the disappointment of the industry buying both
awards for itself, and
"pay-to-play" analysts.
If it persuades someone in Beijing to buy themselves a 505 (and a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label), fair dues I guess.
