Afraid if I read you correctly that no, you're not correct this time...

'Selected' isn't the relevant word in that paragraph, it's 'should', which means that even if you take final flap at 1010' you don't have to write anything and are still within the SOPs - as long as the speed/checklist requirement can be met at 1000', for the last 2+ years 1500' has ceased to be anything more than a suggestion unless you're operating to CAT II/III!

You wouldn't be on your own if you hadn't marked that change, half the company is the same. I joined as it changed and the instructors went out of their way to point out the fact that it had always been 'must' before...
