I looked to do a flight with the gliding club on Ohahu a few years ago, decided not to as it was going to be a long hot & sweaty ride on a bus without air conditioning, followed by another ride to the site - all for an expensive ride in a Schweizer (2-33?) glider.
Instead Mrs R2 & I flew to Maui (30 mins on a 717 IIRC) where I hired a beautiful Archer from Maui Aviators with an instructor (as a tour guide & RT expert) & had the most memorable flight of my 40 years as a puddle jumper pilot round 4 islands. Too much to tell you what we did / saw in those 2 wonderful hours - PM me if you want. I always wear a huge smile when I think of that flight
