I think this has been discussed before - but I agree with your view.
I accept it's yield that counts but I was at BHX in early January and saw the flight to Porto depart, with a load factor of about 50%. I'd have thought with that kind of load in what is surely a quiet month, it would have been worth carrying on into the summer. Their route planning seems very hit and miss.
