GTwice, my 2p for you:
In my (limited) experience with the Italian air transport industry, hiring is quite "regional".
I used to live near one major and 2 smaller airports, commuting from family home to a liveout place while doing my conversion. I tried to reach for those in charge even for more humble jobs like handling-agents, baggage-handling, cargo and so on. Not a sausage, never ever. During summer season you can expect some spot-hiring from the likes of Adecco & c. for suitcase-shifters but it is hard work, basic pay and it won't last.
Perhaps you should try your luck in places where there is a bit more going on i.e. VCE with Aeronavali, SuperJet and so on. I take it would be a similar case if you scout the surrounding of LIN and MXP. However I suggest you do your homework and look long and hard at the actual employment stats for young chaps in Italy, including some high-caliber profiles.
Buona fortuna anyway!
