Sad news
Very sad to hear about Nick's untimely death.
I flew with Nick on the 748 out of Newcastle, and he was an excellent operator, with a good pair of hands, The Budgie had no auto throttle or flight director, and an autopilot that disconnected if you didn't keep it in trim, so it was a perfect aircraft to learn your trade.
He was also annoyingly good at Asteroids table top video game, and regularly thrashed me in Liverpool terminal, during turnarounds on the mail contract.
Far too young.
