Agreed in part; BUT:
I am an employer. If I ask for a Resume, that's what I want - one-two pages, addressing the position description. If I ask for a CV, that's what I want - 10-whatever pages; I WANT to see everything you have to offer. When I said my (current) CV is 30 pages, I meant it - and those who ask for it EXPECT to see everything in it.
The resume is the key to the door; the CV and interview is the passport to the position. Look at what is asked for and comply.
