It doesn't really matter that jet sent out an email, we anyways knew that we were on hold. So I personally don't think it makes a big difference. The only difference is first it was unofficial and now it's official..
The reason jet had to send out emails was that somebody wrote an email to dgca against jet airways blaming them for the weird recruitment procedure and DGCA questioned jet,hence the emails....
Yes the first batches had a meeting with jet on 15th January. They were informed that jet is planning to remove all expats and hence at the moment they want no fresh people in the cockpit, plus till August they are busy with spice jet people. Already a certain number has been hired.. They will only be called after August..
But then jet known for its unpredictability sent an email to the first 8 people asking them not to take any job as they may be called to join jet lite , jet lite instructors are free and their operator conversion course can take place there in Delhi ( jetlite main office is in Delhi) . They will be informed in a week or so..if this works out then things will hasten up and all of them will be employed with jetlite ..
This is what may , can , should happen...
2013 batch is going to take a long time to be hired, that's all I meant ..
