For what it is worth, i'm paid by an agency and they are adamant that all the pilots are self employed but fly for the same airline. Also last year I was based in 6 different countries through the course of my grand tour of Europe. Longest stay was in Poland for about 2.5 months, 2 months each in UK and Estonia, with 2 weeks each in Latvia, France and Hungary......
