Some kind of international database of ICAO licences would save all this crazy and time consuming checking that an overseas licence is "real". Just another layer of cost delays and bureauocracy
Perhaps, with the guy who had been ramp checked, the person who did his flight review hadn't entered it correctly onto his CAR5 licence?
