Nothing much new in the article, as it mentions for the last 6 years we have been doing stall training in the new way on both the Boeing and the Airbus equipment.
What hasn't changed is the amount of mandatory time that gets spent in the simulator. 16 hours a year for most companies. Having flown been an instructor on both Airbus and Boeing equipment I would say that the Airbus needs more time each year, especially due to the different protections and FBW control Laws. These important and excellent features are not really understood by the crews, hence these recent accidents. I feel an extra 4 hour simulator training session would be justified, to play with the edges of the envelope.
