I view these 'statistics' with a certain cubit of salt. The ones doing this study have been around for less than a year, and there is no clear indication of how they rate safety. QF, at the top of the list ,is not free from serious incidents although no fatalities in the jet age.
Most punctual? Is it really up to one airport? Again, how do they measure this? It can get foggy up at Ludgate. Do they count cancellations?
In fact, given the usual suspects at the top of the list it makes you wonder if the criteria was not tailored to ensure that 'award winning' airlines score at the top.
I wonder how AUH scored on punctuality, that is not counting all those cancellations and diversions.
