Case is that none of that winding up and down is happening anymore. On the EFIS aircraft you just make a cx that at the current qnh you should be reading your height to mean sea level on the ground (elevation). Then you would like to cross check your altimeter readings with the captain's readings (or vice versa ) and see if there is more that 50' difference (up to the company to set those limits). That's all!
