Matching airport against airport is futile. HST will probably improve the prospects of EVERY airport that can possibly benefit from the link. All this talk of a superhub is just that. For very many reasons I can't ever see that becoming a reality. It isn't just airport capacity that you have to take into account, it is road transport capacity, etc. etc. Neither can I see the current status quo changing in the foreseeable future either. DSA will probably continue to slowly grow because the link road (which TUI have been looking over recently) makes the airport more accessible to anyone within easy reach of the M1, but if you look at what the three airports have got ...MAN = size (size matters
) LBA has possession of routes and pax (possession=9/10ths of the law!) and then there is DSA which has seen a slow rise in pax recently and a sudden rise in cargo flights ... and Timmy W as a supporter!
