They just never learn or just don't care.

FYI

QCAA still dangles a carrot for a raise which they have for over 2 years and yet still no raise. A couple of ATCO's who have arrived in the last 6 months didn't receive pay for few months of work. Administrative problem they blame but make sure you have deep pockets if you decide to come. Some controllers salaries were reduced from what they were told before they arrived.

Still the MANSO schedule exists so be prepared to work a ridiculous schedule and then rest for a partial day and one full day then back at it again mate. No 6/4 here. Speaking of work although our airspace is configured for 3 positions and recommended that we have 5 ATCO's per team/shift twice in the past 2 weeks a sole controller has arrived for the shift and had to work solo for basically an 8 hour shift.

No multi-exit visas so your departures from Qatar are controlled by these clowns.

In typical Middle East style, well some contracts, a controller has been fired from absolutely zero fault of the ATCO. No support from the local management and for no just cause an ATCO has been fired because a local failed to do his job (Non ATC related) but a high up government official decided because the controller brought the airplane to this airport and country it was his fault. No job security here and no support from the individuals who should have stood up for the ATCO.

If you go to Qatar you will remember these words.... You were given some serious warnings not to consider this crazy place.
