Shock, Horror - A New Plane!
We've just had a great holiday touring around South America. Went out with Iberia, came back with BA.
The journey out (Biz class) was traditional Iberia - not enough visible staff, the ones that you could see being tired and/or grumpy, a tired old plane and Iron Age ent system.
We also had a number of internal flights, none of which were particularly good or bad.........although I did learn where second-hand Air Kiwi jets are sold off!!
Coming back from Rio, though, with BA was a real shock. The plane appeared to be brand new!! The ent system certainly was new - and everything worked first time!!
Willy's savings on the Legacy crew (LHR) must be paying off - he must have convinced the beancounters to buy some new kit.
It just doesn't quite fit the image of BA in my mind. A new plane!
