Just had a look at the departure and arrival board for Southend today. Only 3 easyjet departures all day with the first departure at 15:30 and the first arrival at 18:00.
What I find strange is that 2 of the services are to Amsterdam but they are only 3 hours apart so losing any potential business passengers looking for a day return.
It seems that going by the easyjet routes that they have dropped maybe easyjet have given up on business passengers flying from Southend because there is no demand? The same can be said for Flybe as even their Dublin route, which was claimed here to be popular is now only flown once a day.
