Hi Mediums,

As a cadet-wanna-be, I disagree with most of your personal opinion.

1) The whole cadet programme is nothing more than a cost-saving policy.
Well, it may be true that over the long run, the airline can save more money by bleeding their own pilots than recruiting from outside, let's not forget the airline paid for the training programme while you have only a few flying hours and claim that you can pass all the ground school exams and get the licence. In an economics sense, airlines bear the risk. A cadet trades off time for a career opportunity that they might not be able to have. Not many people are fortunate or wealthy enough to fund their CPL licence. The programme is mutually beneficial to the airline, and to those who are pursuing an aviation career. I do not see the reason why you devil-ise the cadet programme.

2) Interview by ex-Flight Attendant
I am guessing your are talking about the initial ab. To my understanding, they are crew recruitment specialists. They may not understand much of the technical concepts or flight configurations, but if during that approx. 45 mins chat, you pretty much show enough of your personality. Failing to tell a 'normal person' about how much you love flying makes doubt about how serious you think about it.

3) Most of you are joining here for money
You have the right to put forward your personal view, but please do not make any generalisation with no grounds.
