I was in 1st Division North and not 3rd South.
Aah.... 'Third Division South' ...trouble was, whichever 1Gp AOC used that expression,he didn't realise that the term would be used as an accolade by those of us in 3Gp [a bit like the Old Contemptibles].
I remember getting diverted into Scampton one night and with much glee each crew member wrote after his name in the Mess 'Warning In' Book - Marham [3rd Div South]
