I have been flying with the split scimitars now for over half a year and have found no discernible handling difference. On landing, some in the pilot group have commented on a greater ground effect feel, though I haven't been able to quantify this to any degree.
The permissible cross winds are slightly reduced and the bank angle to have a wingtip drag has been reduced to 9 degrees.
My greatest concern has been an unintentional wing drop on take-off or landing in a cross wind.
