Already gone - was just hoping to avoid if some clever person had found a way around this or to do further trouble-shooting. Next problem - what to if mobo man says 'board ok? Then it is CPU back to supplier for test and on we go...............
To me it sounds like a knackered BIOS, but there is no way to re-flash.
