BA see LGW as point to point leisure, it's not really a hub. This is why BA are happy to bus arriving domestics to arrivals bypassing Flight Connections. The removal of INV/MAN/IOM/NQY/PLH in recent years has only made that worse.
The most serious hub operator at LGW might even be Norwegian who are trying to actually build a hub, remembering the dominat carrier EZY don't even do connections. This is why LGW's current "Obviously" campaign is laughable.
