Seriously though, I got info that KQ has a seriously big overdraft that it's using to pay employees. The 777s have been grounded as they are unprofitable to run under their lease terms; coupled with the fact that there's strong competition in the EA market.
Also, there's the small matter of the FAA's intervention with KAA to require airline pilots to have the standard mimimum requirements of 1500 hrs to fly an airliner.(which ab initios, obviously don't have initially) (which further fuels tensions between Direct Entrys and ab initios).
Btw , these were words from a 777 captain I talked to.
Again, I stress that I mean no ill. It's just prudent that pprunners know this, right?
