Why would they be concerned? It's not like you could wait it out and hope to join higher up the list!
For someone who had been waiting over 2 years for an answer, why would you care how long it takes to progress? Not many other airlines hiring at the moment.
At least one external isn't a skipper. But the hour totals would be similar.
