iPad is too large for a knee mount. Mini is ok, but try get a mount where it tilts toward you for a better viewing angle. Or just get a Ram slider and bolt it on somewhere. Viewing surface of the Mini is about half what a standard paper approach plate does, but it is backlit, and zoomable, which kind of makes up for it. Sort of. Best would be display on one of your full size MFD, with own position on the approach plate. Umm, maybe not on the R22/R44. I wouldn't bother with paper. Been there done that on the R22, not enough hands.
