RYR not hiring Irish is 100% true, Ive been trained for a while now and not one Irish pilot that I met along the modular path in any school that I have been in have gotten a job but yet guys that went to the same schools as me from other countries are in the job now. Its a sad reality that an Irish airline will not hire their own citizens and widely know in the aviation industry here in Ireland among FTO's etc. Reasons can be widely speculated on Ive heard quite a few varying from union issues with the Ryanair Pilot Group and other off the wall stuff. Although true It is incredibly hard to prove as Ryanair have employed CAE to look after the hiring stage and there are no Irish pilots getting a call for an interview for it to be Ryanair's problem. Hopefully something will be done about this soon!
