I left on the 31st, my (EDP) 'pension' is paid on the 28th (or the previous Friday if that falls on a weekend) and is always in the bank on that date.
I don't recall having the option to choose the payment date and have never been entirely sure why it's paid when it is. My birthday is the 28th so maybe it's that?
