SprintAir indeed took delivery of their first ATR72 this week - it was being checked out by company engineers in WAW on Tuesday. SprintAir fly mostly on behalf of Poczta Polska on night mail operations with 15 or so SAAB 340 freighters, linking all main regional airports in Poland (Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Poznan, Rszezow, Szczecin, Wroclaw, Zielona Gora) with Warsaw, plus Vilnius in Lithuania and Riga in Latvia.
Looks like a well-oiled operation, but don't expect miracles pay-wise; in Poland typical FO pay is fairly low by Western European standards, and a number of SAAB FOs are flying for free to build up turbine hours - the queue of potential FOs apparently extends into the Ops Dept. The same may happen on the ATR fleet (although as a type rating, it is more useful).
Cheers
