Firstly, the numbers are not current. The first year rates are irrelevant. Most new hires will go to Year 4 after serving one year. Additionally, FOs on the wide body fleets will generally start on Year 8. With allowances and incentives its comfortable and you don't have to live in a @#&*hole.
In agreement with previous posters with regards to painting a realistic picture though.
