Not to say that I don't think there is a huge amount of waste in QF Group, or that mainline wouldn't benefit from better branding (am hopeful that the soon to be launched new A330 product will help)
The problem with that point of view is that it sounds like a some subtle repositioning of the corporate image, change the logo/font and uniforms again... Which has been done so many times.
What needs to be fixed is the root cause problems. Not some subtle window-dressing to disguise the real issues.
What's to stop a global hedge fund setting up a $2 shelf company here as a vehicle, using Australian directors and simply bankrolling the exercise through the front door? The investment could be held by a Pty Ltd company with australian citizens as directors, nobody cares which jurisdiction provides the cash, do they?
