It's all right, there isn't much room for baggage anyway. But yes, it's fairly typical. However, it doesn't use much fuel, especially if you can find a few thermals.
You still need some fuel to get off the ground in the first place though -- and with two average-sized adults you can't take very much. With two 90kg adults you can't take any fuel at all
