Just heard from my sister, (I can't quote what status she is, but she is an uber super high point person with Qantas....I know last year she flew First on QF 8 times),
Anyway...she left this morning to go from Perth to Alice Springs.
As she just emailed me
Shocked.....I thought I paid for Qantas service...and I get a water.
Shocked....I have no suitcases because the 717 can't carry them, so they have given me a T Shirt. How they expect me to carry on in the morning wearing just this is beyond me.
I know you fly for,xxxxxxx, but what the hell Hans happened to Qantas!?
i suspect if her bag didn't make it to Alice it was more likely it got sent to another destination than the aircraft not being able to carry it, OR a last minute significant change to passenger numbers. I've flown that type over that route for many years and there is no problem carrying pax or bags unless some screwed up. As for catering I completely agree it's rubbish throughout the network. She would have been offered more than water though, let's just accept a disgruntled exaggeration.
