This is probably the a/c you saw - the photo was taken this January.
One assumes this 747 is awaiting the same fate as the 727's which had been rotting there for several years. If you get sentimental about these old aircraft DO NOT follow

Last time I was there, there were, I think, a couple of military DC-3 on the North side of the field on what used to be the cross runway. Anyone know if they met the same fate? (Edit: Actually, just realised, you can see one of them behind the tail of SX-CBB in the link above.
Is enyone else as sceptical as me about the old airport being turned into parkland for the people?
