Hate to dampen the spirits.... but BA's headline figure hides some nasty realities....
1. They are currently losing money very quickly... last quarter showed a loss of £200m, so the trend is not good;
2. Whilst they have accounted for the Concorde charges (£86m ish), they still have to face the withdrawal costs from another few bases (PLY and NQY)....;
3. They have a nasty hole in the pension fund (£1B +).
