Read your jumpseat agreement very carefully before trying to jumpseat from Canada, it's completely different from the US. Also leave yourself up to 3 hours to get through if you are calling AC.
Last time I jumpseated to the US is was $70 round trip for taxes and fees. I think it's cheaper on AC as they don't have a $2.50 processing fee to trigger $30 in taxes on the flight North.
