Does anyone know how to stop iPad/iPhone from auto-downloading IOS updates.
Spending some time in the Falklands, it is an issue, as our internet there costs close to £100 a month for a monthly limit of about 5 Gb. Over that limit costs up to 10p/Mb (depending on exact package) (yes - that is £100 per Gb
), so an unasked for surprise update when you are close to the monthly limit could be VERY expensive.
Have looked online but every reference I can find just says "that's the way it is, you can't stop it except by switching wi-FI off or loading your device close to full so that it doesn't have room for the download"
