Not sure about a F3 but there was a Saudi IDS (CT10) in the mid-90s did this too. Sounded like a hangar door falling off and the runway had to be resurfaced afterwards. Those in the caravan park short of the 08 threshold claimed it was done on purpose to scare them away...
