My buddy there says the daily commute from home to check in at SHA then bus to PVG and back again is a killer and most pilots families have given up on Shanghai, also a huge number of layovers in
hotels.
Beijing Capital Airlines at Sanya base is a FAR FAR better option....no pollution , tiny commute, living in holiday resort. The money better then Spring when you sell back some of your 3 months per year leave!!! Which nearly all of them do.
Be warned, once you go for a selection in China , you are stuck with that Airline!! Dont get trapped by the Ryanair of China honey pot! Check out BCA in Sanya....
