the CAA has asked the FAA to clarify the situation and the FAA has agreed to do so.
Only the state of registry can decide who is allowed to fly their aircraft. If the FAA state that the holder of any Pilot Licence Issued by the State in whose airspace they intend to fly, and valid on the type of aircraft is sufficient,
then it IS sufficient.. If the CAA don't like it, then they must take it up with the FAA.
