Question Italian CPL conversion prior to JAR changeover.

Hello all. . .. .What do you guys know about conversions to the Italian CPL before the JAR changeover? . .. .To say that I'm confused on this issue is an understatement. If I complete the theory and flight test to obtain an Italian CPL-IR, what will I then have to do in order to meet the minimum requirements that most airlines have in Europe and in particular those in Italy.. .. .I've also noticed that in Italy there is no such thing as a frozen ATPL. Yet the "ACPL" material I've been reading has all the typical ATPL subjects in it. If I complete this test will I have the minimums (licence-wise) for entry into one of the Italian carriers? . .. .I notice that there is a lot of talk about type ratings and so on. Surely the up and coming self improvers aren't going out and buying MD-11 and A320 type ratings before employment...are they?. .. .Another question - what does a MCC cost?. .. .I figure that if I do this test I might be able to avoid the 500hrs multicrew required to complete the JAR ATPL theory subjects.. .. .Does anybody know anything about the structure of the exam...how long..pass mark...?. .. .Yes.. I speak Italian - Yes ..I have the passport - Yes.. I have lived there - Yes..I am confused!. .. .I have a CPL with MECIR + frozen AustATPL and roughly 1000 hrs (single pilot).. .. .I want to make an informed decision before I spend my money. Inputs from Redsnail (you've helped me in the past!) and anyone with some knowledge in this area would be greatly appreciated! Please don't let this question turn into a my country is better than yours bash! And yes I know that the industry facing tough times. . .. .Please help! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" /> . .. .P.S. They are extending the change over date as far as I know.
