Flying in Vancouver

Hi all,

I'm posting this as more of an FYI for anyone that may find themselves in Vancouver Canada one day.

There's a fellow at Boundary Bay (CZBB) with 2 Cherokee's for hire. The rate is very reasonable at $75.00/hr ($CAD) wet, (33.76 pounds). He uses a web based booking system and has no minimum requirements etc.. so overnighting with the a/c is no problem. The a/c are early 70's models and are not "pristine" but they are well maintained mechanically. One has dual com's and GPS, the other ADF and a digital VOR. Check ride is done with a local pilot and usually lasts 1 to 1.5 hrs.

The bonus is that the fellow that does the check-rides for him owns a Harvard and a T-28 and is more than happy to take anybody who is interested up in either of these aircraft. He charges $150.00, (67.52 pounds) for about an hour and will do whatever you want including letting you fly and aerobatics. Nice fellow to boot. He does not run it as a business but more of a cost sharing with people that love to fly.

If anybody is interested I can post more information. BTW, I have no stake in this, but feel it is good to pass along information to others.

Safe Flights.
