They say you don't need flying experience, but I think it weakens your case considerably if you don't have any. Having said that, I think they'd be more than happy with a solo. At least then you know whether you actually like flying or not, and must be capable of doing it after a fashion. Just don't waste any time in applying, whatever you do.
