This case looks like the typical loss of control after moving the flaps/stabilizer outside its limits.
I doubt that. IF the Excel were to behave like that (in the small airspeed band it could happen at all), then it should have its certificate withdrawn.
Given the fact this was the first crash of an Excel, it seems even more unlikely.
And then, what is a "typical loss of control" ?
