This would be a political, economic and military campaign that would involve naval and air forces from outside nations combined with indigenous armies on the ground.
At last a brown job that understands balanced Combined Services and Joint Ops. As we seem frightened of having NATO "boots on the ground" and can't afford them anyway, Sea and Air support at range is our greatest potential contribution. That would probably hold good for all of NATO.
As these are inconveniently not isolated threats, we also need to cover Home counter terror and any new unpleasantness from Mr Putin, all with what we actually have.
