Prepare for rant
1.2m visitors to Bmth for the air show but no Bmth airport dedicated stand promoting the flights from the area. The only airlines representing themselves on a pathetic excuse for a booth was Thomson and a ryanair girl sharing the same space.
No one cares! The airport seem more bothered about being the parking point for the old heritage jets for the air show rather than seeing it as a commercial opportunity to promote the flights.
No wonder we are losing the Aer Lingus service! Not only not advertised or promoted but fares are extortionate compared to southampton.
Please will someone explain this to me, the list of airline failures at Bmth is endless!!!!!!!
It can't all be to do with public transport either. Public transport accounts for 20% at the MOST at a very well connected airport. It is not the silver bullet. But the catchment at Bmth could support and does want to support so much more. Some People don't even know there is an airport at Bmth!
