I am well aware of the four daily flights from Gatters, a more or less daily flight to LCY and the weekend service to LHR. If, like me, you want to connect to BA Long haul, it's a minimum 4 hour connection, including waiting for an hour for baggage at Gatwick and and hours taxi ride (in reality less) to T5. What's wrong to wish for a direct connection daily and year round. There are plenty of people connecting when I took the flight 2 weeks ago, including myself coming from CPT.
