Funeral and memorial service arrangements.
The details of Colin's funeral and memorial service are as follows:
Thursday 4th Sept 2014 – the Funeral Service at the Buddhist Hospital followed by the Cremation at Wo Hop Shek
Suggested dress code is white shirt, black trousers and black tie (no need to wear a suit)
The Buddhist Hospital is around 5 mins walk from Lok Fu MTR Station so I would suggest that those who attend travel there by MTR.
14:45 hrs Arrive at the Buddhist Hospital in Lok Fu (the Service will be in a small room in the basement of the Hospital)
15:00 hrs Short service at the Buddhist Hospital for Colin (given by the Rev Stephen Miller, the Senior Chaplin at the Mariners)
15:30 hrs Depart by minibus from the hospital, accompanying Colin’s body to the Wo Hop Shek Crematorium in the New Territories (about a 1 hour drive)
16:30 hrs Rev Miller will say a few words at the appropriate time.
17:00 hrs The cremation at Wo Hop Shek (assume that the cremation takes 30 mins)
17:30 hrs Depart Wo Hop Shek for Kowloon by minibus
18:30 hrs Arrive Kowloon / the Mariners Club being the last stop (other drop of points in Kowloon to be agreed on the day)
Saturday 6th September 2014 – the Memorial Service at the Mariners Club
The Memorial Service is expected to be more casual than the Funeral Ceremony.
Suggested dress code is smart casual, no ties required.
10:45 hrs Arrive at the Mariners Club, Middle Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.
11:00 hrs Memorial service at the Mariners in the Chapel on the 2nd Floor (Service given by the Rev. Stephen Miller, plus some messages read out by close friends)
12:00 hrs Drinks and some snacks in the China Coast Bar (Located on the 3rd Floor of the Mariners)
13:00 hrs Depart Mariners Club.
