Flying into YMEN at 1650 EST yesterday you could see the fog lying over Port Philip Bay and the western shore and given the wind direction it was slowly moving northwards.
On the return leg to YGTH centre was warning aircraft heading to EN of the fog warning and that the ATIS was reporting fog in the vicinity. Just after landing at YGTH a P46T landed for fuel. He was heading for YMMB. I told him of what I had heard but he was already looking at the possibility of alternates. Wonder where he wound up last night?
